David Byrne appeared as the musical guest on the Feb. 29 episode of Saturday Night Live. It was hosted by comedian John Mulaney.
For Byrne's first song of the night, he performed "Once In A Lifetime" by his former band, Talking Heads.

"Once In A Lifetime" appeared on the album Remain In Light from 1980. Talking Heads singer David Byrne took the stage on SNL to perform the song 40 years after its original release.
He also later performed "Toe Jam," a track from a 2009 collaboration with Fatboy Slim.

David Byrne's performance made waves online, prompting the SNL video to trend on YouTube.
Fans were excited to see the now 67-year-old artist revisit his old band's classic track. "Once In A Lifetime" is regarded as a classic of the alternative and new wave music genres.
The song is also famous for its eccentric music video with retro visual effects.
