Chris Carrabba's brush with death
Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba suffered a horrific motorcycle accident on June 6, and despite severe injuries and months of rehabilitation ahead, the musician will be okay.
Carrabba wrote on the band's official Instagram page, "My injuries were severe but not life-threatening."
He continued in the statement, "I owe the amazing doctors, nurses, and medical team treating me my endless gratitude. I am determined to make a full recovery, but I have surgeries and months of rehab to come."
Carrabba wanted to let his fans and those everywhere know that despite the scary moment, he hasn't lost sight of the important social issues at hand.

"Even in the condition I'm in I find it important to state that I stand with Black Lives Matter," he said.
"In the near future it is likely I will not be able to follow the news as much as I normally would. If you don't hear from me on critical social issue I trust that you will know where I stand," he continued.
The band also participated in #TheShowMustBePaused on June 2.
