Dakota Fanning: From Child Star To Sexy Instagram Star

1999 was Dakota’s first year participating in television, first helping with a Tide Detergent commercial and then being invited for a guest appearance in the NBC comedy ‘Emergency Room’.

After that, she started to show up in many popular T.V. series, such as ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, ‘Malcom in the Middle’, ‘The Ellen Show’, ‘Friends’, and many more. At the age of seven, she got her first main role as “Lucy” in ‘I Am Sam’. This earned her a nomination in the Guild Actors Awards, making her the youngest person to be nominated.

In three years she participated in many other relevant films along actors and directors such as Charlize Theron, Robert De Niro, Denzel Washington, Tom Cruise, and Stephen Spielberg. Spielberg even said: “how quickly she understands the situation in a sequence, how quickly she sizes it up, measures it up and how she would really react in a real situation and tells you the truth every time I say ‘action’.”

She has also been a voice actress for ‘My Neighbor Totoro’, ‘Lilo & Stitch 2’, ‘Charlotte's Web’, and a few others.
At the age of 12, she was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, making her the youngest member in history.

In 2009, at 15, she was third in ‘Forbes’ Most Valuable Young Stars, having earned an estimated $14M USD. After that, she has stayed in the filming industry to date but has not been as relevant as she was in her youth. In 2011 she became the face of ¡Oh, Lola! perfume, by Marc Jacobs.
