The 34-year-old country music star, Sam Hunt, was arrested for a DUI in Nashville early Thursday morning. According to online records, Hunt was booked into the Metro-Davidson County Detention Facility at 6 a.m. and released a little after 9 a.m. on a $2,500 bond.

Police were notified when a driver was spotted driving on the wrong side of the road and swerving in and out of his lane. When the officers pulled him over, they claimed "there was an obvious odor consistent with alcoholic beverage," according to ENews. Sam also apparently had bloodshot and red watery eyes.

The "House Party" singer was the only one in the vehicle at the time and had two empty beer cans next to him. Hunt reportedly struggled to provide the police officers with his drivers license (which was on his lap) and instead gave them his credit card and passport. He has a blood alcohol content of 0.173 according to the breath test.
