Miranda Lambert recently made it known that she's met one of the most talked-about people in the world right now! The country star took to Instagram on Monday to post a series of throwback photos that show her posing with "Joe Exotic", star of the hit Netflix true crime docuseries Tiger King.
"Exotic"— whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage— can be seen standing next to Lambert in the photo with his ex-husband John Finlay, employee Saff (who also features in Tiger King) and another employee.
"Here's a little Monday memory for y'all," Lambert captioned her post adding the hashtags "#TigerKing", and "#WayTooPrettyForPrison". As Entertainment Tonight reports, the latter of those hashtags is a reference to both Lambert's song of the same name with Maren Morris, and "Joe Exotic" being held in federal prison.

Lambert's throwback photos with Tiger King's "Joe Exotic" drew criticism from her fans, as the singer is known for her love of animals while "Exotic" is accused of exploiting and torturing them. However, some of Lambert's fans were quick to point out that the photos she shared were taken in 2017, long before Tiger King was making headlines.
As Entertainment Tonight shares, at the time Lambert and Exotic were pictured together, Lambert was in Texas working with her non-profit organization MuttNation Foundation. She was there trying to find homes for dogs who had become displaced after Hurricane Harvey, and it appears "Joe Exotic" was also lending a hand!
