Common is letting everyone know that he is more than happy with his girlfriend Tiffany Haddish! The hip-hop artist is getting real about their relationship, sharing what made him fall for the comedian, to begin with.

In his latest interview, Common is opening up about how long it took for him to finally convince Haddish to say yes and give him a chance, and that he is the happiest he's been since she took that leap of faith!

Common shares how much he loves Tiffany Haddish

Comedian Tiffany Haddish does nothing better than making us laugh! Hip-hop artist and rapper Common is opening up about dating the comedian, and why he feels she is a special person.

During his interview with SiriusXM Radio for The Kathy Hunter Show, Common reveals that he and Haddish are "doing wonderful."

"She’s a really incredible human being, and, you know, the more I get to know her, I just see how dynamic she is as a person," he opened up.

He continued, "How intelligent, how selfless she is, how she stands up in Hollywood for Black women, I’m like learning [from her]. You know what I mean?"

He then went on to share how her passion and courage for supporting Black business inspires him.

"She takes it like the law," he said. "She’ll be like, 'If there ain’t no Black people on the set, or no Black people working on this, then I’m not going to do it.' Or, 'Why can’t we go to these Black makeup artists?' And I think, it takes that type of courage and mouthpiece and rawness to get the equanimity that we’ve been looking for — the equality that we talk about. Especially within — any area of life — but then the Hollywood structure, sometimes you have to shake them up and say, 'Hey, y’all, this is what it has to be.'"

He then continued, adding that "She's also fun. I like good-hearted people, and Tiffany has a wonderful heart at the end of the day."

Common then went on to share how the two met, adding that, while they didn't run in the same social circle, they would often still bump into one another, but Haddish was never intending to date the artist, rather insisting that they were "just friends."

"The first time I met Tiffany, she came to an Oscar event that I had hosted, honouring different people. … So anyway, she was there and was real cool. I didn’t try to talk or date her, she was just cool," he said.

"Then we worked on a film together, and that time I was definitely like, 'Hey, what’s up? How you doing?' And she was like, 'Nah, we good, we friends,'" he said, referring to the 2019 film, The Kitchen

As for how they ended up dating? The two apparently went out to dinner one night while in New York City, and felt the potential of a relationship was palatable, and it blossomed from there.

This interview came just days after Haddish herself spoke with Extra, revealing that she, too, is super in love.

"I feel like it's gonna work. I haven't felt like this about a relationship ever," she said at the time. "We laugh all the time. He's actually really funny. I'm like, 'You should do this comedy movie with me.' He's like, 'I don't want to exploit our relationship.' And I'm like, 'Well, I don't want to be in no relationship where we making no money!"
