Cole Sprouse Opens Up About Split From Lili Reinhart: "I'll Always Feel Lucky"

After much speculation, Cole Sprouse made a statement on Instagram about his breakup with Lili Reinhart! Sprouse showed his support for his ex, who also happens to be his Riverdale co-star. See his post here!

Cole Sprouse has addressed his split from Lili Reinhart on social media! As People reports, the Riverdale actor took to Instagram on Wednesday to post about their relationship, wanting to share that he has no hard feelings towards his ex.

Sprouse says he'll always "cherish" love with Reinhart

Sprouse began his post by revealing that he and Reinhart took a break several months before breaking up. "Lili and I initially separated in January of this year, deciding to more permanently split in March," he shared. "What an incredible experience I had, I'll always feel lucky and cherish that I had the chance to fall in love." As People mentions, it was first rumoured the two were together back in 2017!

While they've called it quits in real life, Sprouse and Reinhart play on-screen love interests "Jughead Jones" and "Betty Cooper" in the CW show Riverdale! Sprouse also made it clear that he has no bad feelings towards his co-star, and wants her to have the best in life. "I wish her nothing but the utmost love and happiness moving forward," he continued. "All I'll say about it, anything else you hear doesn't matter."

Reinhart clarifies interview comments were about depression

Sprouse also showed his support for Reinhart's career, as he made reference to her upcoming movie, Chemical Hearts! "Also her movie comes out soon!" he said at the end of his Instagram post. "I'm sure she's just as incredible in it as everything else she does. Thanks guys."

Reinhart took to social media herself the day before, clarifying some quotes that had been misconstrued from an interview she did with Refinery29. "Quotes taken from my most recent interview are not about a 'breakup,'" the actress wrote on Twitter. "They are about the depression I've felt over these last few months."
