Actor Nehemiah Persoff has passed away. Deadline reported the sad news on Tuesday. Persoff lived to the proud age of 102. He was one of the oldest-living actors and last-surviving stars of classical Hollywood.

Nehemiah Persoff was born in Jersulem in 1919 and began his Hollywood acting career in the 1940s. He had over 200 screen credits and roles in many classic films and TV series.

In the '50s, Persoff had parts in Marlon Brando's On The Waterfront and Marilyn Monroe's Some Like It Hot. Over the years, he was seen in other films like The Greatest Story Ever Told, The Last Temptation of Christ, and Yentl with Barbra Streisand.

Nehemiah Persoff had dozens of roles in television. He was the star of The Twilight Zone episode "Judgment Night," and appeared in multiple episodes of Gunsmoke, The Six Million Dollar Man, Marcus Welby M.D., and Hawaii Five-O.

His TV work also included episodes of everything from Columbo to Little House on the Prairie, Law & Order, and Magnum P.I., to name a few more.
