Christina Applegate's series is on hiatus
In a few days, the new season of Dead To Me will be released on Netflix, in which Christina Applegate portrays one of the main characters. However, the filming of the series had to be put on hold for several months due to her health condition.
It is not an easy time in the actress's life, as she revealed in a new interview with the New York Times: "I needed to process my loss of my life, my loss of that part of me. So I needed that time."
She will appear on the show for the first time as she is now. Because since her diagnosis, she has been severely physically limited. "I've gained 40 pounds, I can't walk without a cane. I want people to know that I'm very aware of all of this", explained Christina Applegate.
Christina Applegate had to be in a wheelchair
Filming the show was so strenuous for Christina that she had to use a wheelchair during takes.
Filming certain scenes was so emotionally difficult for her and fellow actress Linda Cardellini, as the new season deals with an illness.
"When Linda and I would do those scenes, it crushed us sometimes", said Christina. However, her colleague was a great help to her on the set and always supported her. "It was like having a mama bear", says Christina.
