Chrissy Teigen has slipped up by revealing the gender of her baby on social media! As People shares, Teigen posted an Instagram story on Thursday that saw her accidentally divulge this tidbit of information while opening up about her pregnancy.
Teigen refers to unborn baby as a "he": "That was stupid"
Teigen was talking about having to be on bed rest because of complications she's experienced during her pregnancy when she "It's so weird because the baby's really really healthy," she said. "He's big. He’s probably— oops! That was stupid."
Looking shocked at first and covering her mouth after realizing what she'd done, Teigen then continued on with her Instagram story video. "hahahahaha might as well tell you," she wrote after the big reveal.
Teigen shares her pregnancy struggles: "My placenta sucks"
Teigen shared that there was one particular thing she's had issues with during her pregnancy— her placenta! "My placenta sucks. It’s always been kind of the bad part of my pregnancies with Luna," she revealed, referring to her 4-year-old daughter.
When it came to her 2-year-old son, she had placenta issues as well. "With Miles, it just stopped feeding him. It stopped taking care of him. I was stealing all his food because I was getting huge but he wasn’t getting big at all, so he had to come out early and Luna had to come out early. I was induced both times."

Teigen referred to her placenta as "super weak" in her video, but revealed that apart from it causing issues, things are going well as she and husband John Legend prepare to welcome baby number three! "Everything’s good," she said. "I’m feeling really good, but my placenta’s really, really weak and it’s causing me to really bleed a lot. So basically, it’s just pretty high risk."
"This poor thing has been through so much already," Teigen went on to say about her unborn son. "We just have to get my placenta healthy again, and that means not moving so I’m on complete and total 'don’t get out except to pee-pee' bed rest." Her accidental reveal of her baby's gender came as a surprise to fans, just like when she revealed her pregnancy in a music video with Legend last month!
