The moms are getting involved. It's been a month since Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars, and his mother Rose Rock just spoke her mind on the incident.
Chris Rock's mom Rose slams Will Smith
Rose Rock told WIS that the moment really bothered her — especially as a mother. "I told someone, when Will slapped Chris, he slapped all of us, but he really slapped me," she said. "When you hurt my child, you hurt me."
Chris Rock's mother then shamed Smith for his selfishness. "You didn't think," she said, addressing Will Smith. "You reacted to your wife giving you the side-eye, and you went up, and you made her day because she was bowled over laughing when it happened."
Rose Rock's interview also came with a good barb. Asked to react to Will Smith's punishment from the Academy — a 10-year ban from attending the award show — she responded: "What does that mean? You don't even go every year."

Finally, Rose Rock said she was "proud" of how her son handled the moment, and she further slammed Will Smith for not giving a "personal" apology to Chris Rock.
A month has passed since the infamous Oscars moment, and it doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon.
Jada Pinkett Smith, who was recently spotted for the first time since the incident, said she will eventually address it on her Red Table Talk. Nor has Chris Rock discussed the confrontation at length.
In the meantime, everyone from Jay Leno to Billy Crystal has shared their opinion on the divisive moment.
