In Memoriam: A Look Back At Anthony Bourdain's Amazing Career

Chris Pratt said farewell to a furry friend on Thursday.

Just one day earlier, the actor had begun to update his followers with photos of animals at his Stillwater ranch. But the updates turned heartbreaking on Thursday, when Pratt revealed that social media star Prince Rupert the ram had passed away.

Chris Pratt says goodbye to Prince Rupert the ram

"It's a solemn day at #StillwaterRanch as Prince Rupert the ram passed away," Pratt's Instagram post began. "He took his final rest right next to the still water of the lake under a 100 year old apple tree. I'm very sad."

Pratt, 41, then shared some memories of Prince Rupert. "I was the only one who could wrestle him down to clip his hooves. He was a big cuddler and sported the thickest most beautiful chocolate coat.

"He will live on in our hearts and at the farm as many of his lambs will enter the flock this year. #RIPrupert," the tribute concluded.

Pratt had earlier introduced the web to Prince Rupert in 2018, with a photo that similarly showed him wrestling with the ram. The actor's social media followers regularly enjoy such updates, as Pratt frequently spends time at the ranch.

"Livin' that #farmlife givin' ol Prince Rupert a mani pedi. All good. When you get him on his butt like this and he just chills out and starts to get sleepy. It's the cutest thing," Pratt wrote.

Despite the sad news about Prince Rupert, Pratt on Wednesday also introduced followers to BOGO, the "newest member to the friendly kingdom" at his ranch.

Chris Pratt and wife Katherine Schwarzenegger are expecting

In addition to the expanding family at the farm, Pratt is also expecting a first child with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger.

After the late April reveal of the baby news, Schwarzenegger provided a new pregnancy update last week, when she called Pratt a "wonderful husband" as he's been able to help out at home during her pregnancy in quarantine.

All the same, we're saddened to learn of the loss of Prince Rupert the ram. RIP, Prince Rupert!
