In an interview with 'People', Denise Richards revealed that she faced sexual harassment early in her career. These words reflect the fear that many women in the entertainment industry share.

Richards described her situation at the time: "I felt so vulnerable. This was the career I wanted to do. To be told that you're never going to work in an industry that you are passionate about, it's a hard thing." This fear led to her not making the sexual harassment public.

Progress through the #MeToo movement

Richards said she was impressed by the progress Hollywood has made as a result of the #MeToo movement. "There definitely needed to be a change — and not just in the entertainment industry," Richards emphasized that she was glad that women are being listened to more and are better protected today. "If that happened at this age, I would handle it differently, but I was so young and an unknown and [just] starting out."

Denise Richards is now the mother of three daughters and has learned a lot from their self-confidence and willingness to speak out against something. She did not have these qualities herself as a young actress.
