Celebs Go Dating began in August 2016 and there has been a total of three seasons since it began. The show is known for featuring the most famous British people from television such as celebs from Love Island. Although the show is supposed to be a program about finding love, it has been revealed that not one single couple (made up of a celebrity and an ordinary person) has lasted since the show. Funnily enough, the only couples that have lasted are the celebrities who decided to ditch their dates in order to be with another fellow celebrity from the show.

In the last series that aired in August 2019, some controversial figures were present on the show such as Megan Barton-Hanson and Jack Fincham - both former Love Island stars. Megan Barton-Hanson ended a relationship before the show which gained a lot of publicity as she claimed she had been cheated on. She then began to expose her ex-boyfriend Wes Nelson on Instagram, calling him a liar. Jack Fincham is another controversial celebrity as he along with his ex-girlfriend Dani Dyer was accused of keeping their relationship going so that his new TV show could go ahead in which the two were supposed to feature. However neither Jack Fincham nor Megan Barton-Hanson found lasting love on the show as both celebs are now single. It seems the show has proven to be more a source of entertainment, than a source of true love.
