The treasured Star Trek and Charlie Bartlett star Anton Yelchin was killed in a freak accident on June 18th, 2016. When Anton did not show up to a rehearsal his friends went looking for him and found him pinned between his car and a brick wall in his driveway in San Fernando Valley, California. Anton had apparently stepped out of his car to check on his locked gate but due to a possible defect in the model of car he was driving, he was not properly in park and the car seemed to roll back down his slanted driveway and trapped him. The cause of death was ruled as "Blunt traumatic asphyxia." Anton was only 27 years old.
