Cassie Randolph and Colton Underwood have been recently embroiled in a social media battle that only continues to escalate and now Cassie has filed a restraining order against her ex! Colton has responded to the allegations and the court will decide if her request is reasonable or if she is simply upset about her reputation.
Cassie Randolph Files Restraining Order Against Colton Underwood
Former Bachelor lead Colton Underwood and his girlfriend Cassie Randolph had the most picture-perfect relationship for over a year but it seems now that their romance is over, the claws are coming out. The two even had a heartfelt ending where both expressed great care for one another and attempted to be friends for the months following the split.
According to both Colton and Cassie, they agreed to keep details about their relationship private, but during an episode of The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons -- Ever! Cassie was featured and explained that she and Colton were "on good terms and hanging in there." Colton was not happy with her for speaking about their relationship so he took to social media to air his grievances stating "When our relationship ended we agreed to handle things as privately as possible as we attempted to navigate our new relationship as friends. I chose to do that since we were living in this interim period, but obviously a lot has changed this week."
Cassie responded with her declaring she did "not wish to create an online petty war... It seems you are subtly engaging in a tactic that peppers in aggressive comments such as 'that obviously changed this week' in order to make me look like the bad one." She pleaded to Colton via Instagram to not speak anymore about their relationship and to not "cloud our great 1 1/2 year relationship with a messy breakup."
She then took it to the next level, seemingly contradicting what she just asked and said "On Monday evening, you informed me you intend to monetize our breakup by writing a new chapter to discuss your experience with COVID (where you stayed in my family's house during your recovery and about our breakup). You have also refused to give me any sort of approval on the chapter you will be writing, which will heavily feature me... This seems a bit unfair to me. Colton, you can do what you want, but please do not have a double standard."
Now, according to Entertainment Tonight Cassie has filed a request for a restraining order against Colton Underwood through the Los Angeles County Court. She has listed the request as "domestic violence prevention without minor children" and the case has been scheduled for October the 6th at 10:30 am. In a statement to E!, Colton's representative has said "Her accusations are simply not true." So is Cassie genuinely afraid Colton will be physically violent against her or is there tension surrounding Colton's possible new chapter of his book? We will have to wait and see if the courts grant her the restraining order or not.
Colton's ex-girlfriend Becca Kufrin and her fiance Garrett Yirgoyen have also recently split and a contestant from his season Tayshia Adams is filming for the new season of The Bachelorette! What a roller coaster in the world of Bachelor Nation relationships!
