Hours of pain paid off!

Cardi B showed off her fresh ink on Monday, posting a side by side pic of her 10-year-old tattoo. The rapper revealed she spent hours in pain over the past few days, but that it was all worth it when she saw the final look!

The iconic hip tattoo is not small, to say the least, and the rapper showed off her before and after pics on her Instagram. The tattoo, which features a huge peacock with various flowers, got a bit of a makeover, adding a few more details to the intricate design.

"So after 10 years I gave my peacock tattoo a makeover," she captioned the photo.

The artist, Jamie Schene added some more details to the design, including a beautiful butterfly, more feathers, and extra flowers. The tattoo also got significantly brighter, and more colourful.

"This whole week I been takin hours of pain getting tatted," Cardi said.

Schene also revealed on his own Instagram that the art piece took 7 days of tattooing, and Cardi shared another photo to her page showing off the gorgeous artwork.

Along with her hip piece, the "I Like It" singer also got a shoulder tattoo earlier this month, completing the whole right side of her body.

The California-based artist commented on her post, "Thank you [Cardi B] 60+ hours, more than 10 cities, it was an awesome project and a crazy experience. Thanks for the dedication, strength, and hospitality."
