2020 has been a big year for us all, but Cardi B has a positive turnaround for her wild ride! The rapper and musician is being titled Billboard's Woman of the Year, one of the highest awards!
The 15th annual awards will look a little different this year, but the industry tycoon is announcing this year will focus on some of the biggest names music has to offer!
Cardi B to be titled Woman of the Year
Cardi B is taking home the highest honour this year at the 15th annual Billboard Music Awards! Going virtual this year, the award ceremony will be recognizing Cardi, as well as many other women in the industry.
Along with Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez will be joined by Alanis Morrisette, Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, and Shania Twain as Icon Award recipients. Dua Lipa will also receive an award, being titled this year's Powerhouse for her latest album, Future Nostalgia.
Along with recognizing music, the award show will take a more serious tone and recognize the George Floyd murder through a movement known as #TheShowMustBePaused. The movement is meant to allow viewers a chance to honour the Black Lives Matter movement.
Billboard's Women in Music Awards will be live-streamed on December 10, 2020.
