- Neil Patrick Harris' show 'Uncoupled' has been canceled
- The news came as a surprise to cast and crew
- HERE is what we know
All things must end. Starring the charismatic Neil Patrick Harris, the show's sudden cancellation has left fans and the cast alike in the lurch, especially after its revival from an initial Netflix cancellation. It's a wrap, folks!
From Netflix to No-Go: 'Uncoupled' Can't Catch a Break
The laughter and love lessons of 'Uncoupled' are no more, as Showtime delivers the final blow to Neil Patrick Harris' comeback comedy. Just when we thought the show was back on track, Hollywood strikes have put a pin in the balloon of our beloved series.
The romcom rollercoaster that is 'Uncoupled' has hit another dip! The series, which gave us a peek into the post-breakup blues of "Michael" (played by Neil Patrick Harris), is officially off the Showtime roster.
Despite the allure of big names like Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman at the helm, and a cast featuring Tisha Campbell and Marcia Gay Harden, the show's second chance has slipped through the cracks.
In a candid chat with 'People' magazine, Harris dished on the uncanny parallels between his on-screen character and his real-life romance. After 18 years with hubby David Burtka, Harris found the script hitting close to home. "Same location, same length of relationship, but now it's totally different," he mused. Talk about art imitating life!
Michael's misadventures in the world of Grindr and swiping right had us in stitches, and Harris himself was intrigued by the dating scene he'd never navigated.
Also interesting:
"I fell head over heels... and we're still going strong," he shared with Entertainment Tonight, contrasting his stable love life with his character's chaotic quest for love.
Sadly, fans will have to look elsewhere for their fix of dating do's and don'ts, as "Uncoupled" joins the ranks of shows gone too soon.
