Britney Spears couldn't be happier to be living as a free woman! A few days after Spears was released from her years-long conservatorship, the singer took to Instagram to open up about starting this new chapter of her life, sharing her thoughts and feelings.
Spears says she had her "first glass of champagne" in years
Spears began by reflecting on her emotional state following the momentous court decision that her years-long conservatorship was to come to an immediate end. She called it "an amazing weekend," saying that she "felt like I was on cloud 9 the whole time!!!" Then, she shared that she did something special she hasn't been able to do in some time to mark the occasion.
The star revealed that on Saturday night, she had her "first glass of champagne" in years. Spears mentioned how she plans on "celebrating my freedom and my B day for the next two months" given how long it's taken for her to get to this point, and gave a shoutout to her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart. She said Rosengart "has truly turned my life around," expressing her gratitude towards him and the fans who have supported her along the way.
Spears' conservatorship being terminated saw celebration all over the world from supporters of the #FreeBritney movement. Ahead of the life-changing court hearing, Spears' fiancé Sam Asghari even shared a video to show his own support for her, which saw the couple wearing #FreeBritney shirts. It's great to see that Spears is enjoying herself now that she has control over her life again!
