At the age of 80, Britt Ekland can look back on a long and successful career. As "Mary Goodnight", the blonde wrote film history for her role as the sexy "Bond Girl".
Britt Ekland became an iconic "Bond Girl"
The Swede Britt Ekland began modelling at an early age, and at 21 she caught the eye of a talent scout in Rome and met the "Inspector Clouseau" actor Peter Sellers (†54) in Hollywood.
Britt Ekland turned the head of the father of two and already divorced world star. Only eight days after their first meeting, the two got married, and the stormy love was followed by an early pregnancy.
She starred in films like 'After The Fox' and 'The Bobo' together with her husband. But the marriage lasted only four years. Subsequently, Britt Ekland became a legendary "Bond Girl" in 1974 and inspired not only "007" with her beauty.
The actress had a child with 'Bond' producer Lou Adler (89) shortly before filming. During this time, however, Britt Ekland also had an affair with rock musician Rod Stewart (78), and later with actor Helmut Berger (†78).
In her second marriage, Britt Ekland married the drummer Slim Jim Phantom (62) of the rockabilly band Stray Cats. This marriage didn't last forever either, and after eight years it was all over. However, Britt Ekland was not just unlucky in love.
Until 1990, the blonde was regularly seen in major flicks. After the actress had her lips injected, the film roles stopped, as she revealed in the TV show 'Loose Women': "It ruined my appearance and ruined my face. It was the biggest mistake of my life".
In 2002, Britt Ekland briefly returned to acting, but her career was quickly over again. In 2010, however, the former "Bond Girl" was seen for a short time in 'I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!'.
The blonde has completely retired from acting, but she regularly gives her followers insights into her life on Instagram. Britt Ekland has lost none of her captivating beauty over the years!
