Marlo Thomas is an American actress, producer, author, and social activist (advocate for women). Marlo Thomas was in a long relationship with playwright Herb Gardner. In 1977 Thomas was a guest on Donahue, the television talk show, when she and host Phil Donahue "fell in love at first sight." They got married on 21st May, 1980 and together they raised his five children.

As well as starring in Bonanza, Thomas featured in many television series such as McHale's Navy, Ben Casey, Arrest and Trial, The Joey Bishop Show, The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, My Favorite Martian, 77 Sunset Strip, and The Donna Reed Show. Due to her success on-screen, Marlo Thomas has received a multitude of awards including four Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a Grammy Award, a Jefferson Award, and a Peabody Award. Thomas even featured in three episodes of Friends!

Currently Thomas does a lot of charity work for St Jude's Children Research Hospital. The hospital was founded by her father Danny Thomas in 1962. In 2014, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama during a White House ceremony.

Thomas starred in Ocean's 8 in 2018. She also featured in 3 episodes of Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later in 2017. The actress is now 81 years old but it doesn't look like age is stopping her from following her dreams! She even still has some very famous friends, such as this picture below showing her and Jennifer Aniston, whom she acted with on three episodes of Friends in the late 90s.
