Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton proof opposites attract
Blake Shelton is getting real about him and his partner's unlikely pairing, speaking to People magazine about his whirlwind of a romance to his girlfriend of nearly five years, Gwen Stefani.
"An Okie boy and a California girl look on paper like an unlikely match but what matters is she’s a great human being," he said.
"She is the most understanding, kind-hearted person I’ve ever met and I learn something from her every day," he continued.
Going on to talk about how self-isolation these past few months have given them a chance to connect, Shelton gives a bit of an inside glance of how they spent their time.
"The simple pleasure of being together in one place for an extended period of time has been a real gift," he said. "We cook, we clean, we ride four-wheelers and we just enjoy being with each other and with family."
The new music video for their single "Happy Anywhere" will also give fans a sneak peek into their everyday lives.
"We were waiting for the right time to release it, and I knew that time was now," he said.
"We’re all still socially distancing, so there’s no better time to be happy anywhere with the person or people you love. It doesn’t matter where in the world you are — as long as you’re with them, you’re happy," he continued.
The two will be returning to Los Angeles this fall to continue shooting The Voice.
