Blake Lively teamed up with Taylor Swift for a brand-new music video following the release of Red (Taylor's Version)! But while their collaboration wasn't announced until Sunday, Lively hinted at her creative involvement with the pop star through a recent Instagram post.
Lively shows off heart ring, references Swift lyric
Lively shared photos of her appearance at a special event on November 8 at the Empire State Building that celebrated the re-opening of travel borders between the United States and the United Kingdom. The Gossip Girl actress looked stunning, with her hair pulled back as she wore a bedazzled red dress with a bow on the front.
Seeing as Swift recently celebrated the release of Red (Taylor's Version), the colour of Lively's dress alone could be considered an easter egg foreshadowing their collaboration. However, there were more significant details— especially her choice of jewelry. When Swift released a short teaser for the "I Bet You Think About Me" music video, it featured a hand grabbing a piece of wedding cake, wearing the exact same ring!
Lively had drawn attention to her jewelry in the previous post, commenting on how her "hand modeling career is really taking off." The actress also used the phrase "twin flames" in her caption, which many eagle-eyed "Swifties" noticed echoed a lyric from Swift's song "State of Grace". Swift is known to be close friends with Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, and even revealed the name of the couple's youngest daughter in one of her songs last year!
