However, the 18-year-old recently opened up about her struggles regarding mental health and previous suicidal thoughts. "I was so unhappy last year," she said during an appearance on The Gayle King Grammy Special.

Billie Eilish reveals she considered taking her own life
Billie Eilish revealed that prior to her rise to fame, she felt extremely isolated, especially after noticing that her friends could no longer relate to her new popularity. Then host Gayle King mentioned her song "Bury a Friend," where she sings "I wanna end me," asking if it was a true statement.
This is what she answered:
“Yeah. I think about this one time I was in Berlin and I was alone in my hotel, and I remember there was a window right there. I remember crying because I was thinking about how the way that I was going to die was, I was going to do it."
Billie Eilish encourages her fans to take care of themselves
Billie Eilish then explained the reason she didn't do it was her mom, who has always supported her. Thanks to therapy and her family, Billie was able to be in a better place. Now she encourages fans who are struggling with similar issues to take care of themselves: "Don't take that extra step and hurt yourself further,” she said.
Billie Eilish's mom, Maggie Baird, said the singer's fans are what keep the music star going.
Billie Eilish is the youngest nominee in Grammys history. She is currently nominated for Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist.
The 62nd Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, January 26, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
