This will come as sad news for soap opera fans: actress Kathryn Hays, best known from As The World Turns, has died.
Hays passed away on March 25, but the sad news was only announced today, reports TVLine. No cause of death was disclosed. Kathryn Hays lived to be 88.

Kathryn Hays was born in Princeton, Illinois, in 1933. She established her acting career in the 1960s as a guest star on classic series such as Bonanza, The Virginian, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., and Star Trek, to name just a few.
Hays also starred in the '60s series The Road West, but she's mainly known for her role on As The World Turns. She spent nearly 40 years playing "Kim Hughes" on the popular soap opera. She was in over 1,700 episodes from 1972 to 2010.
