Armie Hammer has had a roller coaster year. He began 2020 with his devoted wife and loving family and then by the summer he was divorcing only 2 months after his lovey-dovey anniversary with Elizabeth Chambers and then the scandal hit the headlines.

Armie Hammer is taking hit after hit. The gorgeous star has just split from his wife of 10 years and scandal broke of alleged sexually aggressive DM's leaked to the tabloids. Armie told British GQ about how his divorce was decided after his family breakdown while being in strict quarantine with his wife and 2 kids in the Cayman Islands.
"It was a very complicated, intense situation, with big personalities all locked in a little tiny place... I'd never dealt with anything like that before in my life, so I didn't have the tools. It was just this thing that snuck up on everybody. I don’t think I handled it very well. I think, to be quite frank, I came very close to completely losing my mind."
On top of that, Daily Mail has just released footage of Armie that he seems to have taken himself where he is drinking while driving and licking what appears to be a drug-like substance from his friend's hand.

While Armie has had an impressive history of work and reached a great deal of critical success for his most recent role in Rebecca, he has now just announced he will be stepping back from his role in the latest Jennifer Lopez and Ryan Reynolds film, Shotgun Wedding.

Armie told TMZ, "I'm not responding to these b******t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I'm grateful to them for that."
This particular bizarre scandal includes alleged social media messages being shared that Hammer is a cannibal and including graphic sexual fantasies. Hammer decries these allegations, stating that these messaging allegations are completely false.
The production behind Shotgun Wedding released a statement saying "Armie has requested to step away from the film and we support him in his decision." Armie is still set to star in the behind the scene story of The Godfather entitled The Offer and reprise his role in the sequel to the Timothée Chalamet film, Call Me By Your Name.
We will have to wait and see if he will continue with his other ventures and who will replace Armie in Shotgun Wedding.
