- Ariana Grande recently divorced Dalton Gomez
- The couple signed a prenup before marriage
- THESE are the details of the proceedings
The "Thank You, Next" singer, who signed a prenup with Dalton, will pay him $1,250,000, says TMZ, which first reported the news. Gomez, who is a luxury real estate agent will not receive spousal support as his tax-free payment will be granted upfront as opposed to over time. The terms of their agreement, also say that Dalton will receive half of the net proceeds from the sale of their former Los Angeles home, in addition to the pop star covering up to $25,000 of his attorney fees.
Dalton is getting a nice chunk of change
By all accounts, it seems to be a pretty friendly separation. "They’ve been really caring and respectful of one another through every step of this process," a source told 'People' magazine back in September after Grande filed for divorce. The insider called the uncoupling "kind and patient," saying Grande and Gomez had "moved on."
The settlement has been filed with the court, and all that's left is for the judge to sign and they will be single again. As far as fans go, this is just as well since Ariana is already deep into her new romance with her 'Wicked' co-star Ethan Slater, and TMZ reports that Dalton is dating as well.
After being married to Ariana, it's no doubt that his stock in the dating market has considerably gone up as well, and he has become a bit of a celebrity himself in the process.
It all started as a fairy-tale for them. Grande and Gomez married in a close off ceremony at their home in Montecito, California. "It was tiny and intimate — less than 20 people," her rep told 'People'. "The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier."
But then, the public news of their divorce came just two months after they celebrated their second wedding anniversary. This July, while filming 'Wicked' in London, Grande took a break from the set to attend Wimbledon. And that's where she was spotted at the annual sporting event without her engagement ring and wedding band.
And the rumors started soon after.
Also interesting:
Well, now she is with Ethan Slater, who was married to Lilly Jay, and had a child with her in January 2023. Slater filed for divorce from Jay in July. Slater and Grande's romantic relationship began after the two separated from their former partners.
She looks to be very happy these days, and perhaps this is one that will stick. As for Dalton, no doubt we'll be hearing from him again soon. For now, it's nice to see an amicable separation in Hollywood...for a change.
