After the infamous writer strike which is still at play, now it is the actors who may be striking as well! Because the Screen Actors Guild, a union representing about 160,000 Hollywood actors is considering going on strike. This would be the first time since 1960 that something like this should happen.
This strike could be a really big deal!
After talks for better wages and work conditions broke down, SAG is ready to join the WGA after 98% voted in favor of authorizing a strike. Fran Drescher, who is now president of SAG-AFTRA said this in a statement:
