Anna Faris welcomed fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow on her podcast Anna Faris Is Unqualified where they opened up about what they have learned from their love lives.
Anna Faris Felt "Competitiveness and Comparison" Chris Pratt's Career
Anna Faris is pretty open on her podcast and in her most recent episode with pal Shakespeare In Love star, Gwyneth Paltrow. She explained that she had a common issue in her two major relationships.
Anna had been married to fellow actor Ben Indra from 2004 to 2008 and Guardian's of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt from 2009 to 2018 with whom she had her son Jack. She said, "My two other marriages were with actors and I don't think we did a great job of eliminating competitiveness. Or at least I didn't, being a proud person, and not wanting to reveal vulnerability."
When the pair first got together, Anna was a more known star in Hollywood and her husband Chris was slowly growing. Then after his success on Parks & Recreation, his popularity skyrocketed and he landed major starring role after starring role.
The 44-year-old star said, "Any hint of competitiveness and comparison, I didn't handle that very well, I don't think. And I hope I've grown from that."
Both Faris and her ex, Chris Pratt have since moved on and have been supportive of each other's romances. Chris Pratt married Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019 and the two had a daughter last year, while Anna has been engaged to cinematographer Michael Barrett since 2018.
Gwyneth also opened up about her divorce from Coldplay's leader Chris Martin. She explained, "I never wanted to get divorced. I never wanted to not be married to the father of my kids, theoretically. But I have learned more about myself through that process than I could have imagined."
"And because I focused on accountability, I was then able to find the most amazing man and build something that I've never had before with Brad, my husband." Both Anna and Gwyneth are clearly proud of what they have learned and how they have been able to move forward with their knowledge.
