Amanda Bynes is attempting to make her mental health a priority. Bynes returned to Instagram in December after a couple months' hiatus from the social media platform, and her recent posts have been cause for confusion.
On Valentine's Day she revealed that she and Paul Michael, who she'd met at a sober living home, were engaged... only to then announce they'd broken up just three weeks later. And on Monday, Bynes and her ex-fiancé then shared the news that they are expecting a child together, in now-deleted posts that took fans by surprise.

Bynes' lawyer on her mental health: "We ask for privacy"
Bynes' lawyer David Esquibias has come forward to address the mental health of his client following her bizarre behavior on social media. As People reports, Esquibias released a statement where he denies claims of Bynes struggling with addiction, explaining that she "is seeking treatment for ongoing mental health issues".

A source had previously informed People that Bynes has checked herself into a treatment center because of her mental health. "Any reports that Amanda is suffering from drug or alcohol addiction issues are completely false," Esquibias goes on to say in his statement. “We ask for privacy during this time, and for any speculation about her personal life from the public and the media to cease so Amanda can focus on getting better".
