Alison Doody is an Irish actress who is best known for her part in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, starring alongside Harrison Ford. Prior to her Indiana Jones success, Doody had starred in the James Bond film, A View to a Kill (1985) and Taffin (1988), a thriller with Pierce Brosnan. In 1994, she played in the baseball film, Major League II, starring opposite Charlie Sheen.
Doody had unexpectedly began her career in modeling when a photographer spotted her. She began commercial modeling which then subsequently turned into acting, starring as the youngest Bond girl to date at age 18. From 1994 up until 2003, Doody took a hiatus from acting. She then starred opposite Michael Caine in The Actors (2003), and Patrick Swayze in King Solomon's Mines (2004).
In 1994, Doody married Irish businessman Gavin O'Reilly and had two daughters together: Alanna and Lauren The couple divorced in 2006. Doody privately started dating Douglas De Jager in 2011, however he died of a heart attack in 2012. On November 21st, 2018, Alison Doody was recognized with a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame in Spain.
