Alex Trebek has an update for those concerned about his health. The long-time Jeopardy! host has now survived the one year mark since his diagnosis of stage four pancreatic cancer.
Trebek prepared a video statement that was shared to the official Jeopardy! Twitter account Wednesday morning. He's had ups and downs over the year, but he is staying positive. Watch his full message below.

Alex Trebek provides a health update
In the Twitter video, Trebek explains that the one-year survival rate for his condition is only 18%. He's now surpassed that mark. He continues, noting that a two-year survival rate decreases to just 7%.
But Trebek and his doctors remain hopeful. "If we take it just one day at a time, with a positive attitude, anything is possible. I'll keep you posted," Trebek says to conclude the video.

Trebek cited his devotion to his wife, Jean, his faith, and the support of Jeopardy! fans as sources that keep him going in his battle.
The Canadian-born host is now 79-years-old. He's hosted Jeopardy! since 1984. He announced his diagnosis of stage four pancreatic cancer in 2019.
