Alec Baldwin has had enough of rude comments on his posts announcing the arrival of his and wife Hilaria's sixth child together.
On Monday, the Baldwins shared the surprise news that they welcomed a new addition to the family — a baby girl named Lucia. However, the baby news has brought unwelcome comments in the aftermath of Hilaria's heritage scandal, and it's prompting confusion seeing as she also gave birth less than six months ago.
Alec Baldwin attacks Instagram commenters after baby news
The negativity led Hilaria to restrict commenting on her posts, which include a picture of newborn Lucia and one of her with her six children. But Alec has been reposting the photos, complete with thousands of comments on each — and he's been getting into those comments himself.
"You should shut the f--k up and mind your own business," Baldwin responded to a commenter who asked, "Who's the mother? She wasn't pregnant. She gave birth six months ago. If it was a surrogate just say that. If the baby was adopted just say that."
Baldwin added that these commenters are "not very smart" and wrote that "Americans are people who know less about how to live a peaceful, healthy life than most of the civilized world."
The Baldwin family hasn't confirmed how baby Lucia was born just yet, but they shared the news on Monday. They last welcomed son Eduardo, their fifth child together, on Sept. 8, 2020. Fans are speculating they may have adopted Lucia, had her through surrogacy, or that the family-of-six picture was taken prior to the March 1 baby reveal.
It's also Alec's latest social media incident. Just a few months back, he swore off Twitter in a message saying "goodbye for now." That absence proved short-lived, however, as he's been tweeting regularly again for some time.
