The stand-off with Alec Baldwin's cellphone has come to an end.
Baldwin has finally given his phone to police in the Rust shooting investigation. They had a warrant to search the phone since December, but Baldwin has only now turned it in.
Alec Baldwin hands over phone to Rust investigation
Police apparently suspect Baldwin's phone could contain evidence related to the case. They now have the device, but Baldwin's attorney told Deadline: "There are no answers on his phone."
Baldwin's lawyer insists the actor gave his phone "voluntarily" to police in New York state.
Authorities are still investigating the death of Halyna Hutchins. In October, the cinematographer died on the set of the film Rust, after a prop gun discharged in the hands of Baldwin.
"Alec did nothing wrong," his lawyer told Deadline, adding that the focus should be on "how live rounds got on the set in the first place."
