Will Smith fell out of favour after the slap incident at the 2022 Oscars. But now he wants a comeback. The actor finally wants to make films again after his scandal.
You'll remember Smith had rushed the Oscars stage and smacked comedian Chris Rock after he made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. The incident earned the Hollywood star a lot of criticism, and he stepped away from the film industry afterward.

But now Will Smith is said to have started filming I Am Legend 2. An insider reveals to The Sun about the planned comeback: "The script is being written mentioning his character and as of yet, Will remains attached to the project.
"The concept is still to be signed off by Warner Brothers, but there has been no indication that Will is off the project."
The insider adds: "The reality is that Will will make a comeback at some point and it will be simply down to which studio will be the one to take a chance on him."

Smith's behaviour at the Oscars initially caused a huge outcry, but coverage has fallen off in recent months. Therefore, according to the industry expert, the time is right for the Hollywood superstar to make a comeback.

Following the incident at the Oscars in March, Will Smith has gone quiet. He hasn't posted anything since the day after, when he shared a statement on Instagram.
At the time, he wrote: "Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night's Academy Awards was unacceptable."
Sooner or later, we'll see what a Will Smith comeback looks like. He seems ready to move on and resume his career.
