- Adele struggled with alcohol problems
- The singer was often drunk early in the day
- She now reveals how bad it got
Adele (34) now takes great care of herself and her health, but that wasn't always the case. The British singer recently admitted to audiences at her Las Vegas show that she was drunk mid-morning during lockdown, according to multiple outlets.
That's how bad Adele's drinking was
"I remember when I came here in Covid, in lockdown, it was 11am and I was definitely like four bottles of wine in – like we all were," said the 34-year-old singer on stage while holding a glass of wine.

Adele further confessed: “In 2020 I said I wanted to release my album. And we were all just drunk at home.”
This behaviour stopped after a tragic event. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, the singer explained that she stopped drinking to excess after the loss of her father. He sadly died of colon cancer in 2021. When she was a child, her dad struggled with alcohol problems.
Adele is doing much better now. Her career is on the up, and she is enjoying great success in the casino metropolis with her Las Vegas residency concerts.
