Once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl! Emma Bunton (48), the forever young and bubbly Baby Spice, has taken the world by storm since the '90s and hasn't stopped since. From her iconic pigtails to her chart-topping hits, Emma's journey is a nostalgic trip down pop lane that's still paving gold!
Baby Spice to Solo Sensation!
Emma Bunton, the sweetheart of the legendary English girl band Spice Girls, has not only given us anthems like "Wannabe" and "2 Become 1" but also soared high with her solo career.
Her 2001 debut album 'A Girl Like Me' hit the charts with a golden stamp by the British Phonographic Industry. Fans couldn't get enough as she asked, "What Took You So Long?" and we're still humming "What I Am" to this day! These days the pop queen wears many hats, but fans still remember her days on stage rocking the world!
Despite the overwhelming fame the group had back in the day, Emma has never grown weary of her own success. "I don’t get sick of Spice Girls songs. If I hear one at a wedding, I’m always up dancing. I love “2 Become 1” and “Say You’ll Be There.”," she told 'Us Weekly.'
"Today I’d be Mommy Spice, because I’ve got my boys and my priorities have changed. But I’d also like to be Sassy Spice. That’d be fun!"
Dancing Queen and Radio Diva
In 2012, all 5 Spice Girls reunited for the last time for the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games. In 2016, Emma Bunton, Mel B, and Geri Halliwell reunited for the 20th anniversary of the debut album of The Spice Girls.
She has also appeared in TV commercials for Prego and for the supermarket chain Tesco. Bunton has also appeared in several movies. Her debut film was the 1993 BBC short TV movie 'Thatcherworld', which had her playing "Josie Jenkins." Unfortunately, the pilot remined unsold.
Emma's twinkle toes shone bright on shows like 'Dancing on Ice,' where fans were so delighted to see her compete. Her experience on stage certainly helped.
But that's not all she's been up to. Her voice continued to charm us as a radio presenter on the 'Heart Breakfast Show'. Still beautiful and still radiant and spunky as ever, is there anything this girl can't do?
On a personal note, Bunton first began dating British singer Jade Jones in 1998. The couple split briefly in May 1999 but got back together in November 2000. Bunton and Jones split again in March 2002. They started dating again in 2004 and on January 26, 2007, Bunton announced her pregnancy with Jones.
On August 10, 2007, their first son, Beau Lee Jones, was born. The couple had their 2nd son, Tate Lee Jones, on May 6, 2011
