90DF's "Big Ed" seems to have a soft spot for Entertainment Tonight's Lauren Zima and answers a lot more of her questions than he probably should, considering the current season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days is still ongoing! Lauren asked him every question we the fans have been dying to know, like what was that shower scene like?
90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Big Ed's Big Shock In The Philippines
The 54-year old San Diego native was in for quite a culture shock when he went to the Philippines for his 23-year old girlfriend Rosemarie. After what he described as the worst night of terror sleeping on the floor with bugs, leaky roofs, and exposed wires, he just wanted a bath and ended up using a bucket and hose to shower with Rosemarie's dad! After enduring the ice-cold hose down and running from a giant shower rat, Big Ed took the leap and asked her father if she and Ed could stay in a hotel instead.
When questioned about the rumors circling the internet about Rosemarie's possible engagement to another woman, Ed said "You know, half the stuff I read online, not like half the stuff, more like 90 percent of the stuff I read online is not true" and when asked specifically if she is engaged Ed responded that he has "no idea"! Does this mean the lovebirds are not together anymore?
He did say "I'm happy, that's all I can tell you."
90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Big Ed Talks STD Test And Hairy Leg Issues
Luckily, he does address the STD test and leg-shaving issues that fans had. It was actually his daughter who explained to him why fans were upset with him. She told him how he asked for the STD was wrong, that he should have taken the test first himself and then asked Rose instead of putting all responsibility on her. He admitted that this move almost cost him his relationship with her.
He said Rosemarie's hairy legs "threw me" and that was why he asked her to shave them. Yes, it was bad timing but he was used to different women and still not used to the culture shock.
Throughout the interview, Big Ed was very coy and tried not to spill too much but did say that we haven't even seen the most shocking stuff yet! The family shower was just the tip of the iceberg!
