Narinder Kaur (51), known for her appearances on shows like 'Good Morning Britain', sparked controversy with a tweet about Princess Kate (42). She questioned why the princess appeared to have aged so much at 42 and speculated whether smoking was the cause.

While commenting on an article about Princess Kate's participation in Remembrance Sunday, which she shared on the X platform, the TV presenter wrote, according to the 'Daily Mail': "Genuine question – why has Kate aged so much? Isn’t she only 42? Is she a smoker? That’s the only explanation."

The comment sparked a wave of outrage on social media, with users calling it "appalling" and "disgusting," accusing Kaur of exploiting the princess for clicks.

Kaur later defended herself on the 'Jeremy Vine Show', clarifying that she did not intend to imply the princess had cancer. "I asked about aging and if she smoked ... nothing to do about cancer," said Kaur. Despite her explanation, the criticism persists.

Narinder Kaur views the harsh reactions to her comments as rooted in racism and misogyny. She revealed that she had contacted the police about the abusive messages she received, saying, "I've contacted the Metropolitan Police, it's that bad."

In a video, the presenter emphasized that she did not intend to be malicious and apologized for the "stupid" tweet. "I put out a stupid tweet. That wasn't my intention, my intention was not to be malicious or nasty or anything. It was stupid to ask about the ageing. I've admitted that, I've put my hands up and apologised if it caused offence."

She added: "The only people who were offended though, because many people on Twitter and social media have asked exactly what I've asked but did not receive the sexual, racial, violent abuse that I did from accounts with EDL flags, Union Jacks, disgusting abuse."

Narinder Kaur emphasizes in the video that she is particularly hard done by because of her background. "People say ''she's making herself into a victim'' - but actually if I'm getting the threats I am then I am a victim to this.' but when I get the threats, I'm a victim of it" says Kaur.
