Kami Cotler played the Waltons' youngest daughter, "Elizabeth Walton", in The Waltons. She starred in all nine seasons of the series. She also appeared in all six TV films. The series, which follows the hardship of one American family during the global economic crisis, finished in 1981.

After The Waltons finished Kami Cotler's acting career did not really take off. She instead attended Berkeley University earning a degree in Social Sciences. She got married in 1995 and is now called Kami Howard. She has two children with her husband, Callan Freya and Cotton.
Kami trained as an English teacher, starting her teaching career in Virginia before moving to Los Angeles to become the founding Principal of Environmental Charter Middle School.
She appeared in a documentary about The Waltons in 2010, before she officially announced that she was retiring from acting in 2011.
