King Charles (76) and Queen Camilla (77) have revealed their 2024 Christmas card, which carries a heartfelt touch. The photograph, taken in Buckingham Palace’s gardens in April, captures the couple in a warm embrace.

Charles is dressed in a light grey suit paired with a blue polka dot tie, while Camilla looks elegant in an indigo dress by Fiona Clare, accessorised with gold earrings. The card’s message reads: "Wishing you a Very Happy Christmas and New Year."

Celebrating love and tradition

The 2024 Christmas card photo is part of a series by Millie Pilkington that also commemorates the one-year anniversary of King Charles’ coronation in May. The pictures were taken on the morning of April 10, just one day after Charles and Camilla celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary.

The couple tied the knot on April 9, 2005, in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall, followed by a blessing at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. For the civil ceremony, Camilla wore a cream knee-length dress by Robinson Valentine paired with a feathered hat by Philip Treacy. Later, she changed into a pale blue and gold embroidered floor-length coat over a matching chiffon dress for the blessing.

A year of challenges for the Royal Family

This year has been particularly challenging for the royal family. Both King Charles and the Princess of Wales faced cancer diagnoses, with Kate completing chemotherapy in September, while Charles continues his treatment as an outpatient.

Despite these difficulties, the royal couple will uphold tradition by hosting the family at Sandringham for Christmas. The Windsors are set to attend Mass at St Mary Magdalene Church on December 25, followed by a festive turkey dinner. They will also gather to watch the King’s Christmas address, broadcast at 3 p.m.
