Prince Harry attended a virtual Christmas party for children who have lost a parent in the military. As a global ambassador for the charity Scotty's Little Soldiers, he helped make the event a memorable experience. The event provided a platform for the children to connect with one another and share their emotions.

Prince Harry's message to military children

The Duke of Sussex, wearing a Santa hat, shared a heartfelt message of support. "It’s OK to feel however you feel at Christmas," he said.

"Some people will be celebrating and happy, other people feel reflective, some people will be sad, and maybe you’ll experience every single one of these emotions and that’s absolutely fine," he added.

Harry emphasized the wide range of emotions that can arise during the holiday season and reassured the children that they are not alone. "Remember, you’ve got each other, you’ve got Scotty’s and you’ve got the people that love you," he said.

In addition to Prince Harry's message, the event featured fun interactive games. The children built towers from pillows and made snowmen out of toilet paper. Bethan, a 23-year-old member of the organization, took part in a Q&A session and spoke about the importance of community. "It was great to have so many members of Scotty's together," she said.

Founded in 2010 by Nikki Scott, Scotty's Little Soldiers provides crucial support to children who have lost a parent in the military. The charity, established after Nikki's husband Corporal Lee Scott was killed in Afghanistan, offers one-on-one bereavement counseling and has helped over 730 grieving military children.

Nikki Scott emphasized the importance of such events in fostering a sense of community and helping families find support during difficult times.
