• Filming of 'NCIS' was cancelled
  • Concern about forest fires
  • Fires continue to influence the production landscape

Fierce forest fires continue to rage in Los Angeles and the surrounding area. Several people have already died and thousands have lost their homes.

The fires also affect film and TV shoots in Los Angeles, with 'NCIS' and 'NCIS: Origins', among others, having to interrupt filming. However, as 'Deadline' reports, production is now being restarted.

Tighter security measures for TV productions

On Monday, filming began again for 'NCIS' and 'NCIS: Origins'. These series are currently being filmed in closed sound studios with health and safety professionals present throughout the day. All cast and crew members affected by the fires or unable to get to set safely will still be paid their regular salary.

ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' will resume production this week after the show took a break due to the fires. However, other series are still on hiatus.

Resuming production is taking place under strict safety precautions. Filming is taking place exclusively in closed rooms to ensure the safety of the crew. Those responsible face the challenge of continuing production despite the ongoing risks posed by the fires.

Forest fires continue to affect the production landscape

The wildfires spreading in the Los Angeles region since last week have already destroyed thousands of hectares of land. Strong winds, which are expected in the coming days, could ignite new fires and further complicate the efforts of the firefighters.
