Queen Camilla (77) has been compelled to cancel her scheduled appointments due to a respiratory infection. Buckingham Palace has announced that the Duchess of Gloucester will fill in for Camilla at the annual opening of the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey. Additionally, Camilla will be absent from a reception for Olympic and Paralympic athletes at Buckingham Palace, which she was set to attend with King Charles (75).
Queen Camilla takes a break due to illness
A palace official shared that Queen Camilla is currently resting at home on her doctors' advice: "Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest. Her Majesty very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend's Remembrance events as normal."
On Saturday, members of the royal family are scheduled to attend the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.
