Kaley Cuoco's unexpected hotel guest
Kaley Cuoco, the beloved star of 'The Big Bang Theory,' recently shared a startling yet humorous story during an appearance on 'Late Night with Seth Meyers.'
Just two hours before her interview, Cuoco experienced a bizarre incident in her hotel room.
As she recounted, "I’m in my hotel room, I’ve showered, go in the bathroom, butt naked, obviously," she began, explaining she was blow-drying her hair and suddenly saw a man in her room.
This unexpected encounter left her momentarily stunned.
During her chat with Seth Meyers, Cuoco elaborated on the strange situation. "And I look up. In the mirror I see a man in my room," she said, prompting Meyers to ask,
"What kind of man?" Cuoco speculated that the man was likely a hotel employee, although she wasn't certain if he realized she had noticed him.
Cuoco said she believed the man worked there and that she didn’t know if he knew she had seen him, but she watched him awkwardly back out of the room.
"He doesn't run," she continued. "It's almost like when you see a bear, and you don't want to move." The man awkwardly backed out of the room, reminiscent of a scene where "you see a bear, and you don't want to move," as she described.
Despite the unsettling nature of the encounter, Cuoco approached the situation with humor. She called out, "Sir?" to which the man responded with apologies before making his exit.
"I think he worked at the hotel, I hope," she added. Cuoco admitted that she hadn't shared the story with anyone until she was backstage at 'Late Night,' where she recounted the incident to the hair and makeup team.
"I said, 'I can't even think about this. I'm not going to tell my family.
Meyers teased her a little, saying, "The timing was right, two hours before you had to come do anecdotes" on a talk show. "I had to tell you because you can’t make this up," Cuoco said.
Beyond her work on 'The Big Bang Theory', Cuoco has ventured into other areas of acting and producing. She starred in the popular HBO Max series 'The Flight Attendant' (2020), a dark comedy-thriller based on the novel by Chris Bohjalian.
Her performance as "Cassandra Bowden", a flight attendant who becomes entangled in a dangerous murder mystery, was met with critical acclaim, earning her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy in 2021.
