- New role for Kate
- The princess is honored
- THIS is what she can do now
Princess Kate (43) is off to a strong start in the new year after recovering from cancer. She has been granted a very special honor with a new royal responsibility.
As the 'Daily Mail' reports, Kate will soon have the opportunity to award Royal Warrants, a prestigious recognition given to companies whose products are used by the royal household.
Royal warrants for British companies
Royal Warrants, which are granted for up to five years, allow companies to display the royal coat of arms and become members of the Royal Warrants Holders Association. Under King Charles’ new guidelines, suppliers must now demonstrate a sustainability policy to qualify.
Kate may be called upon to consider a wide range of companies, from technology suppliers to designer fashion brands like Alexander McQueen and Catherine Walker.

The impact of the "Kate effect"
The influence of the Princess of Wales on brands, often referred to as the "Kate effect," is immense. Nicola Pink, founder of PR and marketing firm We Are Pink, notes in 'The Daily Mail': "What makes it so powerful is that it has always felt genuine — she chooses brands she truly likes or wants to support."
British jewelry designer Catherine Zoraida, whose earrings are frequently worn by Kate, describes the impact on her business as "crazy." She explains, "It’s an increase of about 500 percent in sales whenever she’s seen wearing a pair of earrings."
History and significance of the royal warrants
Royal Warrants date back to the Middle Ages and were formalized in the 15th century. It is up to the reigning monarch to decide which members of the royal family can grant the warrants. These awards are highly significant, offering British companies a valuable boost both domestically and internationally.
