These cream cards, adorned with the Princess's gold-embossed cypher, set the tone for a regal celebration. The video caption stated, "The invitations are fresh off the press for this year's Together At Christmas Carol Service, which will be returning to Westminster Abbey on Friday 6 December."
Theme of empathy and love
This year's carol service will focus on the themes of love and empathy, emphasizing the importance of community support. Kensington Palace elaborated on this theme, stating, "This year's service provides a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives." The event aims to honor individuals from across the UK who have demonstrated kindness and compassion in their communities.
Guests at the service can look forward to performances by artists such as Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean, and Gregory Porter. The Princess will welcome 1,600 guests, including those who have supported others through personal endeavors or community work. Members of her family, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are expected to attend, adding to the evening's significance. The Palace added, "This year, Her Royal Highness wanted to celebrate the many people supporting those in need – individuals who have inspired, counselled, comforted, and above all else shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive."
