Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren (67), best known for his iconic role in 'Rocky IV,' has triumphantly completed a nine-year battle with lung cancer.
In an emotional Instagram video, the actor announced his recovery and shared his relief at the end of this challenging chapter. "Here I am at UCLA. [I'm] about to go in and get rid of that last dead tumor. Since there are no cancer cells in my body anymore, then I guess I'll be cancer-free, so I'm looking forward to this procedure," he explained to his followers.

Lundgren was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2015 but only publicly revealed the diagnosis in 2023. After an initially successful treatment, the cancer returned in 2020. Reflecting on the tough journey during an interview on 'In Depth with Graham Bensinger,' he recalled the moment he received the grim news: "The surgeon called me and said it had grown, it was too big, it had grown to the size of a small lemon." Despite the prognosis of just two to three years to live, Lundgren has now beaten the disease.

The impact of Lundgren’s illness extended beyond him to his family. His daughter, Ida Lundgren, shared in the 'In Depth' interview the emotional toll of their conversations about his possible death: "It was a terrible conversation, it was a tough time." His wife, Emma Krokdal, also experienced moments of despair as his condition worsened. "His mouth got really sore, his hands got sore and he couldn’t eat anything. That was a struggle, he was losing weight," she recalled.
