A Surprising Connection: Britney Spears and Kristin Cavallari
In an unexpected twist, Kristin Cavallari, known for her role on Laguna Beach, recently shared on her 'Let's Be Honest' podcast that pop sensation Britney Spears contacted her. This revelation came after Cavallari floated a conspiracy theory suggesting that Spears might be a clone of her former self.
Despite being a self-proclaimed huge fan of Spears, Cavallari found herself in a whirlwind of emotions following the interaction.
Cavallari recounted how Spears' manager reached out to her publicist, facilitating a connection between the two celebrities. What followed was a "roller coaster" of a text message from Spears, which left Cavallari both intrigued and puzzled.
"Her manager puts us on a group chat and . . . called us icons, two icons coming together, blah, blah, blah," Cavallari recalled. Despite the excitement of potentially meeting Spears, Cavallari was left hanging when Spears did not respond to her follow-up messages.
Cavallari's theory about Spears being a clone wasn't the only conspiracy she discussed. "We talked about Hollywood conspiracies and my big thing was Kanye West, I think, [is] a clone," she mentioned. This speculation caught Spears' attention, leading to their brief communication. Cavallari expressed her initial fear upon realizing Spears had heard her comments, saying, "I'm not going to lie."
The initial excitement of the exchange soon faded as Cavallari found herself ghosted by Spears. "I'm like, 'Hey, I'm hardly in L.A. anymore, but when I come in December, I'll let you know,' because she's like, 'We should hang out,' and blah, blah, blah, and then she just never f---ing responded," said Cavallari. "I'm not over here saying we should jet off to Paris together. That's you, Britney. Well now I do think you're a f---ng clone," Cavallari shared.
This lack of response led Cavallari to question the authenticity of Spears' intentions, sparking further speculation about the pop star.
Added the TV personality, "Because to me, now it was all bulls---, which I thought from the jump. I was like, this does not seem genuine to me. And now you just proved my point. You're not trying to like hang out and be a buddy. You're just trying to shut me the f--- up because I'm obviously on to something!"
